Our drawing teacher Sarah, who often has us do exercises based on organic subjects brought the book Jim Dine: Flowers and Plants to class a few times, and aside from Lucian Freud On Paper which I very recently acquired, it is one of the most inspiring books on drawing that I have come across and has given me a far greater appreciation for this ubiquitous subject.

  2. My students are trying to find the RATIONALE behind the study of plants and flowers. I love that book and have used it many times in my classroom (and personally too). Keep drawing!
